I didn't know that the little yellow creatures with no hair or too much hair and able to withstand hard knocks and knives could actually be funny. I couldn't say I was a fan of the Simpsons but the show actually turned out to be pretty good. I must say the jokes were pretty lame but they still maintained the element of poetic humor to keep it going. I must say they deserve their horde of fans.
And Homer was seriously a knockout. And it only takes Marge's Girl power to keep the marraige going to be able to climb into bed at night with a useless, self-centered bum such as Homer. But it was pretty endearing to hear Homer remark that he'd face the world all day, no matter be it how atrocious, only to be able to climb into bed with her at night.
Who could forget President Schwarzzeneger. Who amazingly wasn't voiced by the charismatic Austrian himself. A very poetic manner with which he potrayed himself: "I was chosen to Lead not to Read!" with his very Austrian accent as best as it could be mustered. How quaint.
I enjoyed the part where Lisa was playing her saxophone. I had always enjoyed her music as a kid and this was no less. Lisa, the environmentally friendly and the only Sane one in her dysfunctional family is one of the characters besides Flanders that maintains the sanity of the series. Of course Marge's hair cannot claim for the Sanity. Whoever has hair as high and colourful as hers eh? But I do admire her girl power. R.E.S.P.E.C.T! Very good Marge.
And Maggie the cute little accident as Homer described, isn't as baby as she seems... She never was in fact. The silent intelligence of the lot, she does make to be a good screen gem. And don't you just want to go "Awww..." at everything she does? It was quite light-heartening watching these half-familiar cartoon faces doing their "thang" on the big screen.
Quite a good laugh. But I still must say this. NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13 =P
